Acebrophylline & Acetylcysteine combination of medicine is used to treat and prevent asthma, symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, bronchitis, and complications of pulmonary cystic fibrosis. It helps relax the muscles of the air passages, thereby making it easier to breathe.

Mechanism of Action :
Acebrophylline lowers the viscosity of the thick mucus and increases ciliary motility making it easy for mucus to be moved. It facilitates bronchial muscles relaxation by increasing certain enzymes. Terbutaline works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. When the medicine is given in combination, it makes breathing easier and relives the discomfort. Guaiphenesin increases respiratory tract fluid, reduces the viscosity of tenacious secretions and acts as an expectorant.
