    Cefmac Plus 1.5 gm Injection

    Ceftriaxone 1000 mg & Sulbactam 500 mg
    Antibiotic | Anti-Infective
    20 ml vial with 10 ml WFI & insert in mono carton
    • Bacterial Meningitis | MDR Typhoid | LRTI'S
    • UTI’S and SSTI’S | Gastroenteritis
    • Nosocomial Pneumonia | Septicemia and Bacteraemia
    • Bone and Joint infections | Surgical prophylaxis
    • Post-Surgical infections
    1 gm once daily via deep IM or slow IV injection over atleast 2-4 min, intermittent IV infusion over at least 30 min Children (<12 yr) - 20 to 50 mg /kg once daily, can be increased to 80 mg / kg in severe infection or as directed by Physician

    Mechanism of Action :

    Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
