Typically available in a 10ml tubular vial with 10ml Water for Injection (WFI), 10ml Disposable Syringe, and insert in a tray with a cover in a mono carton, similar to Cefmac 1gm Injection.
Treatment of Bacterial Infections
- Adults: 1gm once daily via deep intramuscular (IM) or slow intravenous (IV) injection over 2-4 minutes, or intermittent IV infusion over at least 30 minutes.
- Children (<12 years): 20-50mg/kg once daily, which can be increased to 80mg/kg in severe infections ¹.

Mechanism of Action :
Cefmac-XT 1 gm Injection is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall), which is needed for them to survive.
