Adult: Initially, 150 mg/kg (max: 16.5 g) in 200 mL diluent over 60 min, followed by 50 mg/kg (max: 5.5 g) in 500 mL diluent over the next 4 hr, then 100 mg/kg (max: 11 g) in 1 L diluent over the next 16 hour or as directed by Physician

Mucitag Injection is an antidote medication. It is used in the treatment of paracetamol overdose (when you may have taken too much paracetamol medicine). It protects your liver and helps to reduce the extent of the injury.

Mechanism of Action :
Mucitag Injection is an antidote for paracetamol poisoning. It works by increasing the level of glutathione, an antioxidant that neutralizes the toxic products of paracetamol. Glutathione helps the liver safely break down and remove harmful substances formed when paracetamol is taken in excessive amounts. If glutathione levels drop too low, these toxic substances can cause severe liver damage. By restoring glutathione, Mucitag Injection protects liver cells and reduces the risk of serious harm.
